Every project leaves a few parts in the bin. This newsletter is ours: builds, hacks and the people making them, sent free every other Sunday.

What you get

Each issue rounds up a few open projects worth a weekend, works through one shop skill, and decodes one part’s datasheet in plain English. When a reader sends in a build, it gets a spotlight of its own.

How we work

  • Credit first. Every project gets its maker, its license and a link to the original.
  • Numbers with sources. We pass on a figure only with where it came from, and we copy spec values from the source rather than rounding them.
  • Honest status. If the maker says something is broken, we say so too.
  • No hype. Unfinished work is described as unfinished.
